Warm Ups and Stretching Activities


At Ridgecrest, we start each of our PE classes with a warm up and a stretch. The stretch or pose is also used at the conclusion of the class period. Some days I will ask students to choose a warm up for the class, some days I will choose appropriate warm ups and stretches, and some days students will pick the warm up and stretch randomly out of a box. Below is a list of warm ups that we do. In addition, I have attached 3 pages of pictures of the stretches and poses we use.

Wall Sit for 30 Mississippi’s
Throw a tennis ball to a partner 30 times
Partner juggle with tennis balls
Juggle tennis balls on the ground
